As Senior Vice President with leading commercial
real estate firm Colliers International, John was consistently a
Top Producer. John has successfully negotiated commercial lease/sale transactions
throughout Northern California including San Francisco, South Francisco,
Foster City, Redwood City, San Mateo, Oakland, Richmond, Hayward, San
Leandro, Fremont, Martinez, 680 Corridor (Walnut Creek, Concord, Pleasant
Hill, and San Ramon), Vacaville, Fairfield, Sacramento, Santa Rosa, Marin
County and San Jose.
Recognized as an expert witness in commercial real estate by the California
courts. Selected BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) and the
California Department of Real Estate to teach real estate courses at San
Francisco State University. In addition, by the California Society of
Certified Public Accountants and the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce
to teach programs in real estate and negotiation.
Negotiated the largest lease transaction in San Francisco in 1992 - a
ten year plus lease for 117,826 rentable square feet; a $26 million dollar
deal. The Department of Social Services, City and County of San Francisco,
following several years of coordinated analysis, relocated to 1235 Mission
Street. The entire building was reconditioned for their unique tenancy.
The transaction was arranged with the Barker Patrinely Group as Landlord.
Represented Main Street Investment Company in successfully concluding
the sale of 180 Howard Street - a 23 million dollar 1996 transaction.
This Class "A", 205,000 square foot, San Francisco financial
district office building will serve as the new headquarters for the State
Bar of California.
Represented Harris Corporation in a build-to-suit lease transaction for
two new headquarters buildings in Redwood Shores. The initial term of
the lease was twelve years for 121,194 square feet. This complex transaction
included a comprehensive analysis of Harris' previously occupied seven-building
leases with five different landlords and one additional building owned
by Harris. John sold the 26,000 square foot building owned by Harris -
twice.
